News for

The match got off to a flying start with Oriel having most of the ball.

The boys created many chances and were rewarded with a great early goal. An excellent left-footed cross straight to Luka Alia who finished off brilliantly.

Soon after Oriels goal, Great Yarmouth came straight back at them. After a few great saves from Jake Mitchell (goalkeeper) they got the equaliser by an early, unexpected shot into the bottom left corner.

Oriel had a few more chances but couldn’t finish with the oppositions defence putting enough pressure on our forwards.

After half-time Great Yarmouth pushed even harder to get another goal but strong defence from Kris Beck, Harry McRobb, Luba Ndidi, Nic Pretlove (Captain) and the unbeatable keeper, Jake wouldn’t let them through.

In the end, a great game for both sides and well played to all the players against one of the strongest sides last year. Unfortunately all the subs didn’t get a game but thanks for your support and loyalty to the team.

Final score 1 – 1.

The Bourne UltimatumThe week starting the 15th October was National Schools Film Week . It’s the biggest event of it’s kind in Europe and last year took more than a quarter of million students to 1,500 films in over 500 locations througout the UK.

Students in Years 10 and 11 Media Studies were lucky enough to be invited to particpate in the event and went to watch The Bourne Ultimatum, adapted from a Robert Ludlum novel, in a special screening at The Hollywood Cinema in Great Yarmouth.

The experience was an excellent opportunity for students to study film techniques and effects. Everyone involved found it a valuable opportunity that helped reinforce class based learning and had a great time aswell!
