The U14’s Girls football team travelled away to Flegg High to enter their annual sports festival on Tuesday the 18th March. The College entered two teams who played magnificently with the Oriel A team winning the overall tournament. Each team played 6 games against Flegg’s house teams and also a very strong Acle High team. Performances to be commended came from the young Year 8 girls Jodie Brady and Maria Augusto who played with confidence and skill above their years. Captains performances came from Charlie Veitch and Porsha Cook who led their respective sides with command and confidence.
Goals from the A team came fast and furiously from a skilledl Maria Augusto and a powerful Paisley Cook who drilled in shots from her ferocious left foot. Hannah Boniface stepped up to the challenge of goal keeper for the B team with great success and saved many with the use of her legs….hands next time Hannah!! The young B team played with enthusiasm and gutsy determination to do the College proud!
