Full Service Extended School
Schools are typically at the heart of the community they serve and are ideally placed to offer access to a range of extended services that can have a positive impact on standards and the life chances of children, young people and families.
An extended school is one that provides a range of activities and services often beyond the college day, ‘to help meet the needs of its pupils, their families and the wider community’.
Oriel is a community learning centre that holds the well-being and development of everyone at the heart of our vision. At Oriel we have a full-time Extended School coordinator who ensures that we have provision in place to offer this valuable service to our community.
We offer a range of extra-curricular activities, facilities, links to support networks, access to specialist services and community access.
